How to customize order status? In some cases, there are some custom status that you'd like to add to your shipping process, or you are using a local delivery service for your Shopify store, so you want to manually update the order status, ParcelPanel has got you covered. [TOC] ### Add custom order status You can add some custom status to timely inform your customers about the progress of their orders before fulfilled, here is the instruction. **e.g.** The order #1151 was placed on Aug 27 and needs some days to be fulfilled, so we can add two custom status before fulfilling it to let customers know the progress of this order. **Step 1** Navigate to **ParcelPanel admin** → **Tracking Page** tab → **Custom Order Status** section  **Step 2** Click **Add custom order status** button → fill in the blank by your needs    **Step 3** **Save** your changes. **Check on your store tracking page** **Before**  **After**  ### Manually update order status Usually, you don't need to do this, because ParcelPanel will automatically track and update your order status. If you want to, here is the instruction. **Step 1** Navigate to **Shopify admin** → **Orders** section → select the orders you want to manually change the order status→ click **Update status** in the dropdown menu  **Step 2** Disable the **Automatic Order Update** → check the status you want to change to → select the date by your needs → **Save** your changes  **Check on your store tracking page** **Before**  **After**  **Note**: if you manually changed the order status, then the tracking system won't automatically update it. If you want to automatically update, please just enable the Automatic Order Update again.
