Typically, you don't need to customize order statuses. However, if there is a long time between when an order is placed and when it is shipped, ParcelPanel provides the option to customize order statuses between "Ordered" and "Order Ready" to reduce customer anxiety.
Add custom order status
Here are the steps:
Step 1
Go to ParcelPanel admin → Tracking Page → Custom order status section → Click the Add custom shipment status button.
Step 2
Enter the appropriate order status text, tracking information, and the time interval from the previous status.
Step 3
Save your changes.

Manually update order status
In the normal shipping process, ParcelPanel will retrieve shipping details from the courier's website using the tracking number you provided and automatically update the shipping status. Therefore, you usually don't need to manually update the order status.
This feature is particularly useful for local delivery orders where a tracking number cannot be provided, requiring manual status updates.
Here are the steps:
1. Navigate to ParcelPanel admin → Shipments page → Check the orders you want to manually change the order status for → click the "Manually update status" button.
2. Disable "Automatic shipment status update" → Check the shipment status you want to change → Set up the date and time as needed → Save your changes.
Note: If you manually change the shipment status, our tracking system won't automatically update it. If you want automatic updates again, please re-enable the "Automatic shipment status update".
